Windy Walking

To say it is windy today is an understatement! I wanted to try out my new bike and didn’t think too much of the weather so we trekked out into 31mph wind with up to 55mph gusts. Yikes! There was a moment on the way back that I didn’t think I was going to make it home, haha at least not without walking. That is some crazy wind out there!!

Mission Accomplished

Mission accomplished! Planet Fitness trainer appointment today went GREAT! Ian (the trainer) is awesome and is going to help SO MUCH with my progress. He was so helpful, not at all judge-y, and genuinely seemed to care about helping me. We did 4 weight routines today – arms and legs – and I’ll be going back 3x per week. So stoked!!

Busy day packed with a bike ride, a slow run, new inserts for my running shoes and catch up on work. I didn’t get to Planet Fitness (boo) but I WILL get there tomorrow!!! I’m ready to get my weightlifting on!

Arthritis – When Did I Get Old?

Arthritis. Doctor says I have arthritis. (Side note: when did I get old?) So I say what do we need to do because I have races to run and weight to lose. He gives me some pills and says to strengthen my core. So of course I leave and go straight to sign up at Planet Fitness. I’m meeting with the personal trainer tomorrow to design my custom program. I’ve got the cardio down. Just need to build some strength. Got my old people pills now to get me through until then. Let’s do this.
